Dejan Dubajic is the Founding Partner and Attorney at Law at Dubajic Law Firm.
Dejan obtained his Bachelor’s law degree at the University of Novi Sad graduating among 1 percent top of the class and completed his LL.M studies in the Company Law with the master thesis entitled “Dispute Resolution between Shareholders of the Limited Liability Company”. During the studies, he was awarded scholarships at the republic level, local level and of the renowned funds. He is admitted to the Bar Association of Serbia and to the Bar Association of Vojvodina.
Dejan Dubajic holds the position of the Assistant Secretary of the Belgrade Arbitration Center (BAC), a permanent arbitral institution that administers domestic and foreign disputes under the auspices of the Serbian Arbitration Association. Dejan is currently attending a specialization in Tax Counselling at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.
Dejan attained valuable professional experience working in five prominent law firms and collaborating with over 40 colleagues in four different cities, including Vienna, Belgrade, and Novi Sad. He started his lawyer`s career in renowned corporate law firms in Novi Sad and Belgrade with the international orientation, dealing with companies performing business in diverse industries, mostly from China, but also from Italy and the other EU countries. Generally, he was committed to the corporate and commercial matter, including bankruptcy, labor law, IP and was dealing with complex issues before authorities for the protection of competition and privatization.
Dejan has been successfully practicing law for years in litigations, real estate, tort law, criminal law, family law and inheritance. His last engagement was in the prominent law firm in Novi Sad, where he worked with clients from the USA, Canada, the EU countries, Japan, Russia and the Middle East. Expertise area mostly covered corporate law matters, commercial contracts, including IT contracts and cryptocurrencies, foreign currency transactions, tax and rights of foreigners.
Meanwhile, he was honored to practice law at the international law firm “Allen & Overy”, which is present in more than 30 countries all around the world. Dubajic Law Firm was founded to provide individuals and companies with sound legal advice in diverse legal areas.
Dejan was an active member of the ELSA (European Law Students` Association) and he attended the International ELSA Law School on European Business Law held in Vienna and Bratislava. He received numerous acknowledgments, from which the most significant ones were conferences on alternative dispute resolution – arbitration and mediation and M&A transactions. Dejan has also completed the training for mediators.
Dejan speaks Serbian (native) and he is fully fluent in English.
